Plot

Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), wheelchair-bound soldier, is sent into space for visiting planet Pandora. He replaces his twin brother, who was killed in a random encounter with the punks. His brother was involved in the project "Avatar" and preparing to manage the body of aboriginal Na'vi. Now this is a task for Jake.

American company extracts minerals from Pandora. They earn billions of dollars and ready for everything to continue this business. But local Indians, three-meter blue people don’t want to deal with Earthmen. Conflict between them is growing day after day. Thus Americans create the special program. Soldier can distantly rule his alien’s body. It’s so-called “avatar identity”.

The main task is to learn Pandora people’s way of life, their traditions and…weak points. People are planning to get absolute power at Pandora.

When Jake starts the mission he can hardly rule his body. It’s difficult to move and to save from wild world. But he is happy because he feels his legs: he can stand and run.

At Pandora Jake has to learn driving big wild birds and hunting. He meets beautiful girl Neytiri who helps him and teach how to survive. They fall in love and everything seems to be good, but…

Greedy people are irritated with that idyll. Captain decides to destroy Pandora’s settlement. The war between two tribes begins…
